Scope and Content

These records provide a list of officers on continental establishment, providing each officers' name, rank, and in some cases the branch of service. The names are arranged alphabetically by the first letter of the surname. A comparison of this volume with published sources indicates that the list is composed entirely of Virginians. Further identification of this volume has not been determined. According to a notation on the inside cover, 35 names were sent to a Major P. (name illegible) on March 23, 1814.
