Biographical/Historical Information
The Cemetery Board was established by law July 1, 1998. The seven member board authorizes the licensure of persons engaged in the "business of a cemetery company" as cited in section 54.1-2311 Code of Virginia. The requirements for licensure became effective in legislation on July 1, 2000.
