These volumes came to the Library of Virginia in a shipment of court records from Nelson County.
Historical Information
Nelson County was formed in 1807 from Amherst County. The county was named for Thomas Nelson, Jr., governor of Virginia from June to November 1781.
These volumes also contain bonds and other information from the Circuit Superior Court of Law and Chancery.
Scope and Content
Nelson County (Va.) Fiduciary Records, 1850-1906, undated include Records of Fiduciaries, a Receivers' Bond Book, an Index to Fiduciaries and a Register of Fiduciaries.
