Halifax County (Va.) Answer and Deposition from the Chancery Cause, John Watkins vs. Executor of Micajah Watkins, 1804. Consists of the answer of James Watkins, Executor of Micajah Watkins, to a bill of complaint brought by John Watkins. The complaint concerns the settlement of the estate, particularly the division of the slave property in the estate.
Also included is a deposition of John Carmical regarding his witness of a bond made between Micajah Watkins and others and Anna Watkins in 1795.
