Historical Information
Shenandoah County was formed in 1772 from Frederick County. It was called Dunmore County from 1772 to 1778.
Scope and Content
Shenandoah County (Va.) Teacher's Register - Daily Record of Pupils at Public School No. 20, 1905-1907. The register includes names and ages of children, a summary of their attendance (days on the roll, days absent, days present, and days tardy), and a list of subjects they studied. Also included is a list of textbooks used. School No. 20 is also identified as St. Paul School (white), in the Ashby School District.
