Bath County was formed in 1790 from Augusta, Botetourt, and Greenbrier (West Virginia) Counties.
Bath County (Va.) Will of Samuel Ross, 1850. Consists of the last will and testament of Samuel Ross, in which he provides for the emancipation of a black woman named Aggy, along with all property that she has belonging to herself. Ross names as his heirs his wife Elizabeth and his three sons William, Thomas, and Joseph.
