The Bradford family was a prominent family of Prince William and Fauquier Counties, Virginia. John Bradford (d. 1734) married
a widow, Mary Marr Kingcart about 1717 and they had nine children, including John, Daniel, and Alexander. Daniel Bradford
(d. 1800) married Alice Morgan, and they had children including John and William (d. 1825). Alexander Bradford (1728-ca. 1795)
and his wife Jemima Bradford had twelve children.
Papers, 1722-1795, of the Bradford family of Prince William and Fauquier Counties, Virginia, containing land grants, 1722/3
and 1788, for land in the Northern Neck Proprietary and in Fayette County, Virginia (now Kentucky); deeds, 1745-1795, for
property in Prince William, Fauquier, and Richmond Counties; and a commission, 16 May 1795, to William Walker and William
Eve from Madison County Court to examine Jemima Bradford concerning a deed from her and her husband to Daniel Bradford and
their statement that she concurs in the sale. Land grant, 1722/3 in the Northern Neck Proprietary and deed, no date, for property
in Richmond County, Virginia, to Mary Kingcart (Bradford) may be two separated parts of the same grant.
