Scope and Content
Patrick County (Va.) Bill of Sale, 1794. Documents the sale of seven slaves, Sall, Dick, Daphney and her three children, Ruth, Edy, and James; and Frank; along with two horses, twenty hogs, and eight sheep. John Abbington sold the property to Bowles Abbington, John Abbington, Jr., Henry Abbington, and Lucy Abbington for one hundred sixty pounds.
