The Robert Alonzo Brock Collection was filmed by The Huntington Library in cooperation with The Library of Virginia with funding provided by The Library of Virginia Foundation with the support of The Roller- Bottimore Foundation and The Robins Foundation. Microfilm received 15 April 2004.

Historical Information

King William County was formed from King and Queen County in 1701.

Most records were destroyed by a courthouse fire on 17 January 1885. Only a few order books and deed books exist.

King William County (Va.) plat and survey, 1839, of 98 1/2 acres done on behalf of James Cocke.
