Montgomery County was formed in 1776 from Fincastle County. Part of Botetourt County was added in 1789 and part of Pulaski County was added in 1842.

Montgomery County (Va.) Depositions of Sarah Glen and John Glen, 1801. Consists of depositions pertaining to a complaint against John Anderson for employing a scam and paying bad money to Sarah Glen.
