Acquisition Information

The Robert Alonzo Brock Collection was filmed by The Huntington Library in cooperation with The Library of Virginia with funding provided by The Library of Virginia Foundation with the support of The Roller- Bottimore Foundation and The Robins Foundation. Microfilm received 15 April 2004.

Historical Information

Montgomery County, named for Richard Montgomery, was formed from Fincastle County in 1776. Part of Botetourt County was added in 1790 and part of Pulaski County was added in 1842.

Scope and Content

Claims, 1803-1806, of individuals and county officials owed money by the county and the Commonwealth.
