Doctor John Henry Crockett was a physician who practiced medicine and operated a pharmaceutical business in Tazewell County during the late nineteenth and early twentieth century.
Ledger C, 1899-1909, of John Henry Crockett, a physician. It records the individual accounts of individual patients. Each account lists dates of transactions and charges and payments for visits to patients, medication, and medical services such as delivering babies, obstetrical surgery, and treatments for physical injuries. Forms of payment include cash, credit, check, labor, and barter of items such as turkey, lumber, beef, and oats. The volume includes an index that records the names of customers in alphabetical order and the page numbers where their accounts can be found.
