Lancaster County was formed in 1651 from Northumberland and York Counties.
Records, 1794-1875, of Lancaster County includes an account of the sale of Robert Bristow's estate, 1790 ca.; a petition, 1875, signed by citizens of Lancaster County requesting a presidential pardon for Charles F. Tapscott, a former postmaster accused of robbing the mail; and an affidavit, 1863.
