Bond, dated 7 January 1830, from Samuel Young to William Hendrick (d. 1857), both of Mecklenburg County, Virginia, promising to pay $50 in Virginia money for the hire of a slave named Ben. Assignments to Peter Davis (d. 1868) of Mecklenburg County and William R. Buskirk are noted on the back. Contains both the original and negative photostats.
