Scope and Content

Bedford previous hit County  next hit (Va.) Bill of Injunction from the Court Case Cundiff v. Kelly, 1822. The bill documents the court's decision to stay execution of a debt jugdment against Cundiff until Cundiff's case against Kelly is heard in chancery court. Cundiff's attorney alleges that Cundiff has been the victim of a scam known as "a Yankee trick" at the hands of Kelly. Kelly sold Cundiff machinery for a distillery on credit.
