Biographical Information

Ruth Preston Rose is a Northern Virginia historian. Ms. Rose is the author of several published articles and co-author of several books with Nan Netherton on Virginia. She has been President of the Arlington Historical Society and President and member of the Board of Directors of Northern Virginia Association for History. She has also served as a docent at the National Archives, Arlington House, Robert E. Lee Boyhood Home and Ball-Sellers House. She holds a Master of Arts from George Mason University and lives in Arlington, Virginia.

Scope and Content

Collection contains individual issues of local history newsletters, such as the Fireside Sentinel and Alexandria Chronicle, and newspaper and magazine article clippings on the history of various Northern Virginia subjects.
