Biographical/Historical Information
John Blair presided over the Council and acted as Governor of Virginia from Gov. Dinwiddie's January 1758 departure until the June 1758 arrival of Gov. Fauquier. He served the same position again, following Gov. Fauquier's death, until the arrival of Lord Botetourt. Blair was educated at the College of William and Mary and lived most of his life in Williamsburg.
