Cadwalader Evans is writing to Samuel Wharton about Wharton's family that has
remained in Philadelphia while Wharton has traveled to London. Much of the
discussion focuses on innoculating family members against small pox. Evans is also
interested in trying to produce silk near the Ohio River. He also comments on the
state of trade in Philadelphia as a result of the trade embargo with England.
