Biographical/Historical Information

Ellen C. Davis (1865-1955) lived in Greenwood, Albemarle County, Virginia with her husband John Andrew Gordon Davis (1861-1947). The Davis are buried in the Emmanuel Episcopal Church Cemetery in Greenwood.

Scope and Content

This is a collection of three letters addressed to Mrs. J.A.G. Davis. One letter from Dr. William Stevenson Baer of Baltimore, Maryland, to Mrs. J.A. Davis of Greenwood, 27 May 1916, about her daughter's knee. Two letters from The Travelers Claim Department in Richmond, Virginia to Mrs. J.A.G. Davis, 5 October and 10 October 1938, about a medical report forwarded to Thalhimer Brothers.
