Abstract
Two ALS, Samuel Young, Senate Chamber, Wheeling, West Virginia, to Capt. John Sharp, October 1 and 6, 1863. Both letters discuss
the importance of forming an official Pocahontas County militia immediately among Union refugees of that county to insure
that Union officers will be elected; Vouncher for salary paid to Horace R. Sargent, 1st Regiment, Massachusetts Cavalry, November
to December, 1861; Muster Rolls for Company 7, 9th Regiment, Kentucky Volunteers, 1862, and 19th Regiment, Massachusetts Volunteers,
1861; Muster record for one officer of the 11th Regiment, Maine Volunteers, 1864; 1 volume, Descriptive Book of the 34th Regiment,
Ohio Volunteer Infantry.
