Acquisition Information

The collection was given to the University of Virginia Library, probably in 1942, by Benjamin Franklin Dewees Runk (1906-1994) who was also a member of the Chesapeake Bay Committee.

Scope and Content Information

The collection contains correspondence, minutes of three meetings, a report and pertinent appendix by R.V. Truitt, some clippings regarding the Chesapeake Bay .

Committee members included Ivey F. Lewis, chair, Charles Brambel, James S. Bryant, R.P. Cowles, Donald W. Davis, Jackson Davis, F.B. Hanson, Lawrence H. James, J. Brooks Mapp, Curtis L. Newcombe, H. F. Prytherch, B.F.D. Runk, L. Selden Taylor, R.V. Truitt, Edwin Warfield, Jr.,and B.H. Willier.
