Biographical Information
Woodrow Wilson Trumbo was born on !2 October 1912 in Broadway, Rockingham County, Virginia. He was the son of Erva Frank Trumbo (1888-1979) and Iva Rebecca Miller (1889-1958). He married Myrtle Frances Bacon (1919-2015) in Dinwiddie County on 6 October 1945. They later resided in Colonial Heights, Virginia, where he was employed as a carpenter. Woodrow W. Trumbo died on 5 May 1979 and is buried in Mountain Grove Church of the Brethren cemetery in Fulks Run, Virginia.
Scope and Content
Papers, 1908-2015, of the Trumbo family of Dinwiddie and Rockingham Counties, and Colonial Heights, Virginia, namely Woodrow Wilson Trumbo (1912-1979) and his wife Myrtle Frances (Bacon) Trumbo (1919-2015). The collection includes accounts and receipts, an autograph book, book drafts, certificates and diplomas, correspondence, diary entries, estate papers, genealogical notes, home sale and loan documents, report cards, and school exercises. There is also a copy of "Benjamin Trumbo of Brock's Gap, Va." compiled by Alva Trumbo Wood in 2002.
