Heyward Milhollin Braddock was born near Crescent City, Florida on 14 December 1901. He was the son of George Joseph Braddock
(1868-1951) and Mary Elizabeth Milhollin (1869-1956). He went to Washington, DC and worked as a clerk for several federal
agencies. Braddock married Minnie Sapphire Fowler (1910-2000) on 20 October 1934. He joined the Civil Service Comission in
1937, and graduated from American University in 1939. Braddock was called to active duty as a member of the Army Air Corps
reserves during World War II, and was recalled to active duty during the Korean War as a criminal investigator with the Office
of Special Investigations. He retired from the Air Force with the rank of colonel in 1961, and from the Civil Service Commission
in 1965. Heyward Milhollin Braddock died in Arlington, Virginia on 12 October 1981, and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

family letters, marriage records, military and pension records, parish registers, and wills, as well as extracts from published
genealogies and local histories, correspondence with family members and other researchers, charts and pedigrees, clippings,
and obituaries.
