Biographical Information
Edith Edna Jackson was born in Guthrie, Logan County, Oklahoma on 9 June 1930. She is the daughter of Robert Griffin Jackson (1907-1977) and Pansy Lyza Bradley (1913-1973). She married Robert Lee Hankins (b. 1932) on 7 August 1952.
Scope and Content
Papers, 1983-2011, of Edith Jackson Hankins (b. 1930) of Jasper, Walker County, Alabama, containing genealogical research on her ancestors who settled in Albemarle, Chesterfield, King George, Lunenburg, and Westmoreland Counties, Virginia, and Illinois, Kentucky, North Carolina, and Tennessee. The collection includes correspondence, and copies and transcriptions of census records, deed books, marriage records, order books, tax lists, wills, and published histories. There is a large amount of information on the Belcher, Bourland, Burpo, Earle and Rudd families.
