Biographical/Historical Information
Francis Fauquier (1703 – 3 March 1768) was a Lieutenant Governor of the colony of Virginia, and served as acting governor from 1758 until his death in 1768.
Scope and Content
Commission of Oyer and Terminer appointing sixteen men (including Charles Carter and George Washington) in King George County, Virginia to serve as justices at the trial of Jenny, slave of Joseph Strother, accused of murdering her daughter, Joan.
